Building Your Organizational Culture

Current Conditions:
Mount Cedar Technologies, Inc. is currently running a conservative organizational culture. Managers are forced to mainly consider financial measures and paperwork when dealing with work and employees. As this culture of tighter reigns for higher profitability and lack of employee communication continues employee moral and trust in the organization decrease. Additionally, as new employees are hired more efforts seem to be focused on hiring only those who fit into the current culture, which perpetuates the problems.

Goal(s):
The goal for Mount Cedar Technologies, Inc. is to create a culture of flexibility, playfulness and risk-taking so as to encourage employee creativity, loyalty, and empowerment. Management would like to spend more time with their employees and less time creating tighter controls and processing paperwork. Employees and management would also like to see a mentoring program developed to help new employees adjust to the organizational culture as well as help them perform better in their positions.
