One of my roles was the data entry of new employees into the human resources information system (HRIS). Before I performed this activity there was no define method on what, when or how to do it. Therefore, I developed a How to process. The model included everything from where and how to get the primary information to the coordination between departments.
In the field that I am, human resources (HR), decision making is an essential responsibility. On a daily basis we are making decisions. From as easy as developing filing systems or as complicated as evaluation/comparison and presentation of policies during divestitures and acquisitions, decision-making models are an essential in order to accurate and timely perform our roles.
