Overall Church Structure and Structure Within a Worship Service
Most churches of the Lutheran faith in the United States belong to either the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod or the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (Hillerbrand & Marty, n.d.). Though these organizations have differences (such as varying names and titles), the overall church structure of each is very similar.
