Organizational behavior (OB) is a field of study that investigates the impact that individuals, groups, and structure have on behavior within organizations, for the purpose of applying such knowledge toward improving an organizations effectiveness.
OB is an applied behavioral science that is built on contributions mainly from four disciplines: Psychology, Social psychology, Sociology, and Anthropology. In which, psychologys contributions have been mainly at the individual of analysis, while the other disciplines have contributed to our understanding of group process and organization.
