praise is better way to motivate employees.Earlier writers, such as F.w.Taylor believed in employees were motivated by fancail needs.however Herzberg angaist it, he thought economic needs are only hygiene factors. If Economic needs make employees satisfactory, then it might not motivate employees, but recognition might motivate them. Therefore, manager might praise to employees, such as , “ good job”, ‘’ your plan is excellent’. These simple sentence might motvate employees easier than pay money. Giving prasie is a very easy to do ,although it can bring productive and effective. According to Templar who is bestselling author of the rules of management, he stated that tell employees when they do something well and make it widely known they did well. Templar belived that praise is a quick and cheap way to motiving employees and let everyone know their managers are monitoring, recognize them.(Templar,2005). Therefore, parise might not cause the fancal stree for company.
Moreover, praise might help to keep the relationships between employer and employees?due to motive employees easiely. However, praise might bring negative aspects?such as?emplyees feel uncomfortable. Becsuse of praise is a kind of evaluation, to be evaluated makes employees feel uncomfortable. (Farson, n.d.Harvard business review).furthermore,praise employees too often, lead to employees get spoiled. Sometimes employees like children,if prasie too much, he or she will think they are very good, so that they do not want improve work performance. Therefore, manager might mix praise with constructive criticism.( Ryan,2007). For example,’John, you do very well, but you should more carefully when you do the porject.
